Heritage Heads Up – Nov 3, 2017
Heritage Roadrunners and Families,
Can you believe it is November!? This school year is going by really quickly. I sincerely hope each student has enjoyed working and learning in class so far this year and that you can see the progress of their learning. Our first trimester has ended and we are looking forward to sharing progress with you during our upcoming SEP conferences. These will be held the week of Nov. 13~17. Grades 1st through 5th will dismiss at 1:15 each day that week (think Friday schedule). Kindergarten will not be in session on Nov. 13 and 14. Kindergarten classes will then resume and follow the early release schedule for the 15th, 16th, and 17th. Please take a moment and register for an SEP conference time by visiting our school webpage @ heritage.washk12.org and clicking on the “Online Scheduler” link. You will find a link for parent instructions if you haven’t used the system before. Our school password is “roadrunners”.
November 10th at 9:30 in the morning our 5th grade students will present our annual Veteran’s Day assembly. This is an outstanding assembly that is sure to make you proud to be an American! If you or anyone you know is a Veteran I’d love to invite you to join us, please help spread the word! (Veteran’s Day Invitation)
I want to give a shout out to our amazing teachers here at Heritage. I am truly in awe of the hard work they put in each and every day. They care deeply about your children. They strive to make each day matter. They put in long hours in planning and preparing meaningful lessons. They stress and worry over the progress your children are making. They strive to intervene and help those who struggle. They strive to challenge and push those who are ahead. In short, I believe our Heritage teachers are miracle workers! Please take time to thank them for the difference they are making for your child.
